Red Hook Criterium – Brooklyn Navy Yard

What a race. I’ve never seen anything like the crit on Saturday night at Brooklyn Navy Yard. Having bikes and riders propelled in the air and hurtled towards your face kind of gets that adernaline running.  I was rooting for the makers of my fixed, State Bicycle Co. reprented by Thomas Keating and Scott Piersafelde,  but unfortunately they were some of the first riders to crash out. Big props to Neil Bezdek (Team Cinelli Milano) and Kyle Murphy (Stanridge Speed Cycles) for riding impressively tight throughout the entirety of the race. Here are some photos and videos to recap the night:

We were right there on the sideline for all the crashes around the bend before the finish line. Nuts.

What I saw:

What I couldn’t see:

It was all quite the experience. Cheers, ride safe.
