Hello again. I’m back. And to start, here’s a wonderful photo of happiness, brought to you by the housemate.

Cheers, happy riding through the eternal winter 2014.

Well! That was a fun hiatus. August was taken over by my family, and unfortunately, my bike doesn’t have enough seats to hold close to 20 people. Lame excuse, but August didn’t see crazy pedal action, except your occasional evening ride to CVS.

Between then and now, much has happened in terms of bike repairs, bike shop visits, bike finds, new spots for hangage. It feels pretty good to be back. Since I’m not a gal of many words, I’ll try to keep this recap short, not for you, but mainly because my attention span is awfully short. Numbers and photos help:

1. An old ass bike at the Air & Space museum.

2. Another hot as hell ride. Documenting my inappropriate attire: khakis. Let’s talk about swamp ass.

3.  Cousin Abby on a stationary capital bike.

4. This gave me a good laugh. Hahahahahaha. The reads you find at Urban Outfitters.

5.  An ugly fucking dent in my rim. Don’t know how it got there, all I know is that it made the most annoying clanking noise so loud that I’m pretty positive the aching sound woke up all of capitol hill. Tears, so many tears.

6. Left it at the doctor’s aka BicycleSPACE for a quick fixin. (see what I did there). Got back the babes back, lookin sexy mo lexy. Completely replaced rear wheelset.

And there you have it, I busted a recap in this bitch. Cheers, and happy riding!

Recent Roll: Hottest Night Ever.

got your neck bitch.

Last week was hot. It was miserably hot. Sweating to work, sweating coming from work. Not my style. Went for a ride to Navy Yard and various places with Rookie and Russ in the heat, while slightly intoxicated. To cap the night, we tucked in underneath the smog of humidity on the mall and napped…for who knows how long. Cheers — happy riding. Enjoy the weekend and the beautiful spring weather we’ve got going on!

Bike Shop Stop: Dash Bicycle Shop – Providence, RI

Yes, Providence, RI. Why? Why not. A couple of rad buds and I decided to go on an impromtu trip to… anywhere. Hopped on the 3:15am train from DC and ended up in Providence 7 hours later.

I’ve been shopping for the All-City Macho Man, and that’s how I found Dash Bicycle Shop. They carry an array of  beautiful bikes (Bianchi, Kona, All-City, Surly etc.) and they’ve got a friendly staff to boot. Went in hoping to test ride the Macho Man, but, as I exepected, they didn’t have my size on the floor. All in all, a well rounded small town shop, helpful staff, a top knotch selection of bikes from single speed, to mtb, to cruiser, and a solid selection of accessories.

Cheers, Providence! Beat the heat, happy cycling.
